Send a Sister some Love

We are inviting women (moms, aunties, teenage girls, grannies and little ones also) to encourage a sister in prison and/or a female correctional officer.

During lockdown our sisters in prison have not been able to see their families or friends, so we want to let each girl know she is loved and that God has a plan and purpose for her life. We would also like to encourage female correctional officers who need to know we’re praying for them.

We’d love you to write something that pours faith and strength into her heart and remind her that there is a Sisterhood in Africa and across the world praying for her.

Write a letter below or upload a drawing and we will make sure it gets to a woman or a correctional officer in Pollsmoor, Worcester Correctional Facility, Pretoria Central Prison and Langata Women’s Prison in Nairobi.

Dearest Sister I hope that you are keeping well during these very trying times. Thank you for the work that you do. You are valued and appreciated for all that you do for others. God loves you very much. Know that I am praying for you, praying that God will give you the patience and wisdom while you go about your day to day work. You can talk to Him at any time and He will listen to you and answer your prayers. I would like to encourage you with the following scripture: Galatians 6:9. Do not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time, you will reap a harvest. So do not give up, if you are weary. Keep doing something good. God's word promises us that there is a harvest coming. Wishing you love, peace, joy.

Dear sister,

I'm so glad I get to connect with you, even though it's through writing. I just want you to know that I am thinking of you and hope and pray that God will meet you where you are right now. He is a present God, caring about every detail of our lives. He cares about what bothers and weighs heavy on you. Every burden and worry, give it to Him. He is able to fight your battles and give you the strength to face each day. He loves you more than you can imagine! "Some friendships don't last long, but there is one loving friend who is joined to your heart, closer than any other". Proverbs 18:24.

Your sister 🙂

Whitney Amber WIlliams

To the person reading this, you are special.

God loves you, He cares deeply about you, He doesn't care about what you have done - His love can love you beyond what you have done and His love will love you through everything! I care about you, I want you to know that you have a friend in me and I am praying for you, I am praying that God strengths you, I pray that God's love will become real to you, and I want you to know that you can do all things through Jesus!

You are more than where you find yourself, you have greatness inside of you x

Thank you for the work you do to protect and watch over our women in prison and safeguard our communities. Your work does not go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated. Each day you enter your work place you choose to make a difference. I ask that the Lord protects you and keeps you safe each day. Be brave, stay strong and take care of yourselves.

To my sister

It is bittersweet to write to you today because while I wish for your freedom, I am equally comforted by God's presence in my life that He is active and present in yours. Though bound to walls I long for you to know and believe that through Christ who is our Lord and Savior, you have already been set free and that freedom awaits you on the other side of embracing Him into your life as your true savior, Romans 10;9
So as you serve out your time, I want to encourage you that freedom in and through Christ means being adopted by a fair and just heavenly Father whose love will always seek you and embrace you when you come home, His judgement is fair is intended to bring you into righteousness with Him, Proverbs 3:11-12
Your sister

This is your reminder that you have a friend in Jesus. He yearns to have a relationship with you no matter the situation. You are loved so perfectly, that His perfect love casts out fear. For everytime fear creeps in, remember, His love casts out all fear. Everytime the peace is far, or you feel overwhelmed, remember only through Him will you find peace. Try writing letters to Jesus as well.
We love you. Stay Blessed

My son and I pray that Jesus will manifest His presence in your life and protect you from any danger. May the joy of the Lord be your strength and may excellent health be your portion in Jesus mighty name. We speak freedom over your life in Jesus name.

Dear Beloved Sister, God says “ForI know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. God loves you and cares for you. May you live your life with this truth in your heart. Nothing is too big for God. Always remember you are forgiven.

You are not alone. Jesus is with you all the time and he loves you no matter what. “She who kneels before God can stand before anyone”. Romans 8:31

Thank you for dedicating your life to serving in the prison system. For your dedication and relentless hard work and commitment, even when things get tough. God bless you and your loved ones more especially during this season.

My sister in Christ. I would like to share the good news with you. God loves you so much. You were His before you knew it. He wants you to share your thoughts and feelings with Him. He will never judge you, you are His princess. You are a daughter of the Most High, Hallelujah!

In this difficult season, I would like you to know that someone is thinking of you. You are loved! I’d like to speak life over you and remind you that God has good plans for you, to prosper you and not to harm you. Jeremiah 29:11 May His light continue to shine on you and your family!

Dear beloved sister,

God cares about you and sees you. I love the story in Genesis 16, with Sarah's maidservant, Hagar, who had to flee after being mistreated. She found herself alone and pregnant in the desert. There the angel of the Lord met her, spoke with her, and encouraged her. She then called God, El Roi, which means 'the One who sees me'.

"She gave this name to the LORD who spoke to her: "You are the God who sees me," she said, "I have now seen the One who sees me". So I want you to know that you are not alone. That God sees you and loves you very much. Unconditionally. And we love you too! Praying for you for strength and courage.

Veronica Gonzalez

Hello my sweet sister! I want to remind you how much you are loved by God. Even though I do not know you, God knows you. He sees you and hears you. He knows what you are going through and facing. Life is not easy but with God, we can face the impossible because He will give us the strength to endure and the hope to trust that better days are to come. I pray that if you do not know the Lord and do not have a personal relationship with Him, that you would come to know Him and come to love Him. Just because you are walking with the Lord, it is not a promise that life will be easier, but you will have a mighty warrior by your side. Reach out to Him, He's waiting with open arms.

Hello beautiful!

Jesus loves you so much more! Know that you are not alone. God is with you, every moment of every day. He sees your tears, your thoughts, your highs and your lows. He knows every desire of your heart and even your deepest concerns. He longs to hold you in His loving arms and tell you everything is going to be ok. Jesus is a gentleman and He is waiting patiently to catch your attention. Just whisper to Him and grab hold of his loving hand and give your heart to Him completely. He is so ready to become your everything and ready to wipe every tear away. I cannot wait to do Sisterhood in Pollsmoor with you again.

Dearest beloved sister

Circumstance is temporary once you cast your eyes to Jesus. I believe we are positioned in moments to be the difference. May your faith be fanned to flame today. Step into Jesus’s glow for your life. Sending love and prayers to you, my precious sister in Christ.

Dear sister

I salute you for your courage and for working in the front lines in a difficult job. I pray that God may bless you and your family abundantly. I thank you for your work which does not go unnoticed and for your tireless service for the women of this nation. I want to say to you that we appreciate and love you! Life for women generally is hard especially with this Covid-19 situation and we are grateful that you are protecting and helping the women of this country. You are so special and truly loved by God. Thank you my sister!

To my sister, You are worthy. You are loved. You are beautiful. We serve a living, powerful, loving and forgiving God. Jesus is the way the truth and the life. We are sisters-in-Christ and I pray that you experience a spiritual freedom which nobody can take away from you and a relationship with the one true Lord of Lords. Sending you hugs and positive thoughts.

Christyl Potgieter

Dear beautiful sister in Christ,

I hope you know our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and know that He loves YOU uniquely and holds you as the apple of His eye. I hope you carry with you the knowledge that He has forgiven you and that His blood covers a multitude of sins - that you'll no longer hold the shame and pain of what you have done or witnessed or said in an earlier part of your life. Know that He wants you to be free and live a courageous life, with Him at the centre of it all. Don’t be left out of the greatest love story ever told and LEAN INTO HIS loving arms - He longs for you to come home.

Good luck with the rest of your road, I pray your heart gets lighter each day.

I saw a beautiful lady with black curly braids, blue pants, grey t-shirt. I also saw a red afro comb. I sense that you are worried about your kids at home and for some reason you feel "unworthy", that you are not good enough. You look tough (the look on your face and your outlook) but God showed me that you have a "soft" heart for people. I want to encourage you with Psalm 139:14 "I praise you because You are fearfully and wonderfully made..." You are worthy and with God ANYTHING and EVERYTHING is possible. Keep your head high and hang in there. God is at work and He will show up at the times and in places you least expect. Father, I come and speak your shalom peace over your daughter, in Jesus name, Amen.

Dear beautiful woman of God, I am so honoured to write you this letter. Even though I don't really know you or your circumstances, I know you are my sister in Christ. I pray that you may know how wonderful and special you are and that you have a Heavenly Father who is madly in love with you and patiently waits for you to open up your heart to him. Your life will never be the same again. During Covid-19 I can imagine it has been hard not being able to see your family or even hear from them, but I encourage you to stay strong - the best days are yet to come! I am praying for you and I am sending you my love. This is not the end for you, you have a life worth living and you’re destined for great things.

Kayla Van Wyk

Hey Sister! I know that some days or weeks or months things may seem ugly or it may seem that your view will never change but I want to encourage you to never ever stop believing and having faith in God! Rejoice in Him daily because He hears your concerns and He Will make a way for you in the name of Jesus! I pray for healing over your life, health and future.

Dearly beloved woman!

God bless you today and always! I feel so honoured that I get to write to you! I just want to encourage you that God has placed such value on your life. You are His precious daughter. You may feel disheartened or discouraged that you are in prison, but please know that God loves you and has an incredible plan for your life. (Jeremiah 29:11) He works everything to the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28) - that is a promise from Him!! I pray that whatever needs healing in your heart and mind would be healed in Jesus’ name. I pray wholeness over you. I pray that you would see yourself as Jesus sees you - beautiful, strong, mighty woman of God.

God bless you!

Hello special sister

We do not know each other but I wanted to send a very warm hello and remind you that you are so, so loved. Your life is important. Your dreams and hopes are important. You matter to God and He sees you. I am praying for you right now and I am asking that God would show you in a special way, that He is with you - even though you do not always believe it.

Know that God chooses you. He knows your name. He loves your smile. He is cheering you on and wants you to know that He has got your back. I pray that you never forget this. His love for you is real and will see you through tough days. Even today. Stay strong girl - we are in this together! Your sister in Christ.

Dear Sister

You got this! You are strong, beautiful, and loved. I pray that God is with you and your loved ones and will protect and bless each one of you abundantly. As a fellow sister I just want to say I love you. This is a bible verse that really speaks to me right now and I want to share it with you. “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God”. 1 John 4:7

Talya Duif

“I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore, my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure,” Psalms 16:7-9. May you be blessed abundantly.

Dearest Sister

You are not alone. You have a company of women across this Nation who are praying for you and believe that the best is yet to come for you. And most of all, you have a heavenly Father who is always with you and will never leave you, nor forsake you. Hebrews 13:5. Sending you big hugs from your sisters in South Africa and do not lose heart.

Gilvania Jose

Hey beautiful soul.

Times are rough, but I pray you are holding on to your faith in Christ. I don’t think you know this, but whatever you have done to have your freedom taken away, does not shape, form or define you. You are greater than your current situation and struggles. I know you are an amazing woman of God and a great daughter to His kingdom. With the help of the Holy Spirit, go on, be your beautiful self and bring love and joy to those around you. I love you and remember you are worthy of love always.

You are loved.

You are called.

You are chosen.

You are free, for where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom!

With love, from you sister in Christ

Dear Sister, you are special and a beloved daughter of the Most High God. He made you for His purpose and plan. Your life is not a mistake. His door is always open. You just need to knock. May God bless you and keep you and know that you are loved.
